This 14½ mths impressed me very much and was close up for Best Dog but had to settle for reserve and eventually went on to RBIS. Lovely size, quality masculine head without being coarse, true front, good strong body that was firm and well muscled, super spring of rib. Well boned and strong hindquarters, correct tailset and carriage, he moved well both ways and gave a good picture in profile. His good pencilled coat was presented so well. All in all a quality boy.

This young boy is just my type of Dandie. He has a melting expression, is a good size, excellent presentation and presents a good outline on the move with drive from the rear. He has all the essentials to take him to the top. Decided to be a bit sluggish today otherwise could well have had the CC. A well-deserved RCC.

Pepper, another impressive youngster, lovely flowing top line and tail set, good lay of shoulder, straight front and well padded feet. Correct head proportions low earset good bite and strong muzzle. Not in his best coat today and head rather swamped by too much topknot which unbalanced his outline. Moved and showed well.

Quality pepper dog in great form, in excellent condition well presented. Beautiful strong head with profuse topknot, lovely expression and dark eyes, just preferred the reach of neck of 1, moved with purpose and drive around the ring. Nice class.

Just out of junior, this pepper has a lovely head with good skull and muzzle proportions. Dark eye giving lovely expression. Strong muzzle and bite. His muscular neck leads into well laid shoulders and good front. Correct body shape, well sprung rib and super quarters. This eyecatching youngster can, at times, show lack of enthusiasm, but his good forehand and quarters really drive him round the ring with total soundness. He is sporting abundant topknot and head furnishings for his age and his body coat is in transition. However, under this coat is a very well constructed Dandie and this is what won him the RCC spot.

One I have judged and admired before as a puppy, and is maturing well. Handsome, masculine pepper, who is typical in outlook, with a strong skull and muzzle, good eye and pleasing expression. Good topknot. OK in shoulder. Well off for bone, good ribbing, pleasing topline and length of body. Did not move consistently well behind today with a lazy gait and tendency to crab and this cost him. In the challenge, his coat texture and quality let him down. RCC.

Pepper just short of 4 years. I have judged this boy in the past and he’s now at his best and a standout in today’s entry. He excelled all round, is a super type and so good to go over. Delightful head and expression, all male with no suggestion of coarseness, broad skull with well domed forehead, correct stop, good skull to muzzle proportions, the very best of eyes and ears, strong muzzle of good depth and correct scissor bite. He presents the classic silhouette of the breed with strong neck of good length to balance, first class topline and tail just right for set and carriage. Well developed chest, ribbed well back and nicely sprung and strong, muscular loin. Faultless construction both fore and aft, standing so well naturally and moving freely with nice self carriage. Best Dog and BOB.
